Q: I’m having trouble logging into my account. Can you assist?

A:There are multiple ways to log into NewsBreak. You are responsible for remembering which form of login is attached to your account. Please use this form of login every time. Using another form of login will log into a new account.

ANALYTICS

Q: Where can I see my earnings?

A: We’ll release your earnings to you by the second week of the following calendar month. For example, qualified views from December will be released by mid January. You can find all monetization-related information by:

  1. Going to your Me page
  2. Clicking on Creator dashboard (underneath your follower count)
  3. Swiping to the Monetization tab

Q: How often are video views updated?

A: Typically, views are refreshed every 24 hours. However, in certain cases, it may take a little bit longer. If it has been more than 72-hours, please reach out to us clips@newsbreak.com.

Q: I have published videos but my analytics still show 0 qualified views for the month, why is that?

A: Currently, earnings updates only happen after the close of each calendar month. While providing real-time analytics for earnings is a top-priority for us, it's still a work in progress given the early stage of the program.

STRIPE

Q: How do I set up my Stripe account?

A: If you’re having trouble with setting up or linking your Stripe account to your NewsBreak account, please contact Stripe here.

Q: I completed my information for Stripe, yet the system still indicates that my application is incomplete. How can I resolve this?

A: Reach out to us via email at clips@newsbreak.com using the same email address linked to your video creator account. Occasionally, there might be a display issue, and your application could have been processed successfully. We'll verify whether we've received your application or if you need to submit it again.

MONETIZATION

Q: How long should I expect the monetization application process to take from the time I submitted my application?

A: If your application is complete it will usually be reviewed within a week.

Q: I was rejected for the Video Creator Fund, can I receive some more details into why? Can I re-apply again?

A: Meeting benchmark metrics alone does not guarantee entry into the Video Creator Fund.  While we can't offer personalized feedback to every applicant, we thoroughly review each application and assess various aspects of your content and application such as adherence to our community standards, content quality, originality, uniqueness and more.

CONTENT

Q: What type of videos perform best on NewsBreak?

A: We welcome different types of content as long as it adheres to our guidelines but our users prefer short-form videos about local news or events in their town, city, county or state.

Q: Am I allowed to publish longer-form videos?

A: Videos can be a maximum of 10 minutes in length.

Q: Can I add hashtags to my videos?

A: Currently no, but this is a feature we are developing.

Q: Does my physical location impact the stories I report on, even if I primarily cover national news?

A: No. However, tagging the location of your videos helps us to find the most relevant and impacted users to distribute the content out to quickly.

PUBLISHING

Q: Why was my video rejected or taken down?

A: Videos will go through various moderation stages and if they are not meeting our criteria or violate our community standards they may be removed. We reserve the right to remove content at our discretion, at any time, regardless of previous publishing status.

Q: What does it mean if the video is processing?

A: When your video is in the processing stage, it means that it's undergoing review by our systems and or moderation team. This process involves checking for adherence to community guidelines and other standards to ensure the video meets NewsBreak’s requirements.
