Frequently Asked Questions
How to Get Started
I have applied to become a publisher partner, what happens next?
If your account is a good fit for our Publisher Partner program, our team will reach out to you with next steps.
Why was my application rejected?
Common reasons applications aren't approved:
1) You are not a US based publisher and/or your content is not US focused.
2) Your website does not have an About Us page or sufficient information on your editorial staff.
3) Your content does not provide proper author bylines and/or image credits.
4) Your website contains mostly aggregated content from other sources and you do not have enough original content.
5) Your content does not meet our Community Guidelines, which can be found here.
Where can I apply to become a publisher partner?
Please apply for NewsBreak's Publisher Partner program here.
Who is qualified for NewsBreak's Publisher Partnership program?
NewsBreak works with editorial publishers and organizations creating original text and video content, and prioritizes local news content. Creating a Profile
When can I start delivering and onboarding my content to NewsBreak?
Once your application is approved and you have accepted our Terms of Service, you can create a publisher profile and upload your RSS feed(s). Our team will then review and activate. Once activated, your articles will automatically republish on NewsBreak.
How do I deliver my content to NewsBreak?
Content must be delivered via RSS feed(s) containing full article text and image content. Article snippets are not permitted, and uploading any partial articles, or articles without images, may lead to your feed being paused or removed from the platform. You can find our RSS Feed Specs document here.
What do I need to include in my feed?
Only full articles are allowed (not article snippets). If your RSS feed directs readers to your site instead, your account may be removed from the platform. It is recommended that you include at least one image per article, as our "For You" pages require thumbnail images for articles to surface.
Can I include links back to my own website?
Publishers must upload full articles into their feeds, and may only include links in the editorial context of their articles. We do not permit related article modules or multi-line blocks of recirculation links. Publishers including such modules or blocks may have their account removed from the platform.
Troubleshooting
Why are my stories not showing up on the website or in the app?
If the stories sent through your RSS feed are not displaying on NewsBreak or if you encounter other issues like missing images, it usually indicates a problem with your RSS feed. Please review our RSS feed specification document to ensure your feed meets our requirements. It is recommended that you include at least one image per article, as our "For You" pages require thumbnail images for articles to surface. If your RSS feed does meet our expectations and issues persist, please reach out to your NewsBreak point of contact.
Why is my story showing as "Failed"?
There could be many different reasons why your stories are showing up as failed in the portal. The most common reasons are violation of our community standards, non-English content, old news, excessive use of images, article is too long, and timeout error. Please reach out to mp.support@newsbreak.com and someone from our team will look into your account.
General Admin
How can I add other admins to my account?
Log in to your portal and click on your profile name in the top right corner. Navigate to "Account Settings," where you'll find your account(s). Click on "Manage" (the gear icon) for the relevant account and add the admin's email address. Finally, assign the added email address either an "Admin" role, providing the ability to add more admins, or a "User" role, limiting access to the account.
How do I change the email associated with the user account?
Unfortunately we are not able to change the user email address at this time; however, you can add or delete users (other than the account Owner) as per the previous question.
Can I have multiple websites/URLs as part of the same account?
After creating an account for one of your domains, you are able to create additional profiles within your account by navigating to "Account Settings" and clicking "Add Profile." Once a profile is added, please reach out to publishers@newsbreak.com for RSS feed review and approval.
Analytics
Where can I see my account's performance?

How often are analytics updated?
Our analytics portal updates on a daily basis, so there may be up to a 24 hour delay. If you have not seen an update in over 24 hours, please reach out to mp.support@newsbreak.com.
Can I see revenue in the dashboard?
Currently, revenue information is not accessible through the portal. You will receive a monthly report showing your revenue for the previous month, and if you have questions regarding your revenue report, please reach out to publishers@newsbreak.com.
